Product details

A refractory alloy consisting of chromium-based alloys with other elements. Compared with nickel, chromium has higher melting point (1860℃), higher specific strength (ratio of strength to density), better oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance of high sulfur, diesel fuel and sea water.Adding solid solution alloying elements to chromium can improve the strength of the alloy, but the plasticity becomes worse, only adding those elements with higher affinity with the gap impurity elements -- carbon, oxygen, nitrogen, such as cerium, titanium, yttrium can improve the plasticity. This is because these elements can precipitate with interstitial impurities and reduce the solid solution content in the matrix. They are often referred to as "purifiers". When the content of yttrium is 0.1% ~ 0.2%, the plasticity of the alloy is improved. Precipitation or dispersion strengthening can improve the creep resistance of chromium alloy at high temperature, and the precipitation phase or dispersion phase can also improve the plasticity of the alloy, so it is advantageous to develop precipitation or dispersion strengthening chromium alloy.
