1.CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF FINANCE AND ECONOMICS.

The name of the school when it was first established was the Central Institute of Taxation. It later went through several development stages. In 1996, the Institute was officially renamed the Central University of Finance and Economics in honor of the Ministry of Education. Globally recognized for its academic excellence, CUFE today is a vibrant community of scholarship and learning that has inherited the traditions of service to the entire nation and striving for excellence.

CUFE has developed into a key resource for first-class personnel in all areas of economics and management, as well as offering comprehensive education in law, liberal arts and the sciences.

2.SHANGHAI UNIVERSITY OF FINANCE AND ECONOMICS.

The Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE), founded in 1917, is a top-ranked, world-renowned research university. As the oldest financial university in China, SUFE has developed its own spirit over the years. SUFE places much emphasis on being industrious, having a consciousness of all things economic, and making contributions to society. With SUFE now increasingly opening itself to the outside world, it aims to showcase this spirit as well as its outstanding teaching quality.

Focusing on Applied Economics and Management Science, SUFE’s approach is multidisciplinary, utilizing elements of finance, economics, management, law and science. China’s rapid economic expansion has much impacted SUFE, which is now bustling with activity. In 1981, SUFE became the first financial university awarded the right to grant doctoral degrees. In addition, it was among the first nine schools to be selected as an MBA Experimental Education Base and one of the first schools to set up a post-doctoral program in economics. Teaching Resources

SUFE has quite advanced teaching resources. For example, there is a brand-new E-center for Independent English Learning that houses a rich selection of English-learning tools. In addition, SUFE also cooperates with many foreign universities, including Webster University (USA), the University of Southampton (UK), the University of Brunel (UK), University (Australia), the University of Vaasa (Finland), Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and Gifu University (Japan). So far, SUFE has created six joint undergraduate programs, has signed multiple foreign-exchange agreements and has established several training centers for international examinations.

 

SUFE has four campuses. The main campus, the undergraduate education hub, .The North No.1 Road Campus is home to MBA programs, international students and many talented professionals. The Wuchuan Road Campus is a new education base for both undergraduate and graduate students. Finally, there is the Wudong Road Campus, which is currently under construction.

3.SOUTHWEST UNIVERSITY OF FINANCE AND ECONOMICS.

The Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE) is a top university specialized in finance, economics, and business. It is known for its entrepreneurial character and unremitting endeavors to address the needs of the people and society through academics, research, and influence on alumni, drawn from the legacy of its founders and generations of excellent alumni. SWUFE is located in Chengdu, the engine-city for the development of Western China and the fourth-largest aviation hub in China, which was established in 1925. SWUFE is a national key university under direct administration of the Ministry of Education and is listed in both the “Project 211” and the “985 Innovative Platforms for Key Disciplines Project” of the Chinese government as part of the national endeavor to build world-class universities in the 21st century. The university was originally founded as the Shanghai Guanghua University in 1925. 4.TIANJIN UNIVERSITY OF FINANCE AND ECONOMICS.

Tianjin University of Finance and Economics (TUFE) is a multidisciplinary university with economics and management education as its core competence areas while embracing eight diverse branches of learning, including humanities, law, science, engineering, education, arts, etc. 

 

Established in 1958, the faculty of TUFE consisted of professors and experts from the economics and management specialties of Nankai University as a result of relocation, along with a batch of well-known scholars in economics and management from other prestigious universities in the Northern and Northeastern parts of China. At the time of founding, it was named Hebei Institute of Finance and Economics. On October 1, 1969, administered by Tianjin Government, it was renamed Tianjin Institute of Finance and Economics. With the approval of Ministry of Education, Tianjin Institute of Finance and Economics was renamed to Tianjin University of Finance and Economics on May 17, 2004. With over half a century’s endeavors, the university has experienced tremendous changes, and now it has been one of the top universities in Tianjin, as well as an important education base in the Northern part of China for cultivating prominent and practical talents in business and management areas.

 

Located in the beautiful coast of the Bohai Sea, TUFE’s main campus is situated on No.25 Zhujiang Road Hexi District of Tianjin, while the other campus lies on the Machang Road in the centre of the city. Across the two campuses, TUFE covers an area of 1,000,000 m2 with a floor space of 500,000 m2. The total collection of the university library reaches 1,300,000 volumes.

 

TUFE is one of the providers of key specialties at national level appraised by Ministry of Education. 5.DONGBEI UNIVERSITY OF FINANACE AND ECONOMICS.

Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (hereinafter referred to as DUFE) was founded in October 1952, originally located in Shenyang and under the name Dongbei Institute of Finance and Economics which was established by joining Dongbei School of Banking (1946), Dongbei School of Business (1949), Dongbei School of Finance (1950) and Dongbei Institute of Statistics (1951), Dongbei School of Cooperatives (1951). The university was renamed Liaoning Institute of Finance and Economics after being moved to Dalian and amalgamated with Liaoning Institute of Business in 1959. The Institute was taken over by the Ministry of Finance in 1979 and the name “Dongbei University of Finance and Economics” (DUFE) was adopted in 1985.

DUFE is located west to Xinghai Park, a state-level scenic spot in Dalian. It has been well known for the tranquility and beauty of the campus since the mid-1990s.

DUFE serves as a multidisciplinary, teaching-and-research-oriented university focusing on economics, management, law, arts, and science. It offers full-time as well as part-time education programs; for full-time programs, DUFE is now offering 3 first-level mobile stations for post-doctoral research — applied economics, theoretical economics and business administration; 4 first-level disciplines for PhD programs — theoretical economics, applied economics, business administration, management science and engineering; 38 second-level PhD programs, 72 master’s degree programs and 31 undergraduate programs. In all the disciplines, there are two key state-sponsored disciplines — industrial economics and public finance (including taxation); one key state-supported disciplines — quantitative economics; and 3 state-level majors with their own characteristic — accounting, finance and business administration.

Taking education quality as the lifeline of the development, DUFE gives constant priority to fostering qualified professionals. For this reason, DUFE integrates both in-class teaching and extra-curricular learning to make appropriate training schemes for students so as to enhance students’ social responsibility, professional dedication, and sense of community. In the past decade, the employment rate of DUFE graduates has kept above 95 percent. Noticeably, many of DUFE graduates hold important positions in various kinds of organizations ranging from financial institutions, business companies to government agencies; many of them have been promoted to leadership positions in administrative departments. 

Taking academic research as the engine of the development, DUFE lays great emphasis on scientific research in order to give a boost to teaching. At present, the University boasts one Key Research Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education, 6 key research institutes of humanities and social sciences at the provincial level and 41 research centers and institutes of various disciplines at collegiate level. Over the years, DUFE has followed the practice of holding Famous Scholar Tribune, Doctoral Supervisor/Candidate Forum, or Professor Forum at least once a week; at the same time, the University also invites famous scholars to give academic lectures.
 
To further broaden education horizons, DUFE began to encourage international cooperation and exchange from 1994, under the guideline of “high standards and internationalization”. With the experience of more than one decade, the University has gradually brought about internationalization in terms of instructional languages, teaching materials, curriculum systems and administration patterns. 6.ZHONGNAN UNIVERSITY.

Founded in 1948, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (ZUEL) is located in Wuhan, a metropolis of Central China. It is an institution of higher education under the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China with economics, law, and management as its core disciplines. These are coordinated with the development of eight other disciplines including literature, history, philosophy, engineering, etc. ZUEL is also one of the universities sponsored by “211 project”, which is the Chinese government's new endeavor aimed at strengthening about 100 institutions of higher education and key disciplinary areas as a national priority for the 21st century. ZUEL is comprised of the School of Humanities, School of Economics, School of Finance and Taxation, Xinhua School of Banking and Insurance, Law School, Criminal Justice School, School of Foreign Studies, School of Journalism and Mass Media, School of Business and Administration, School of Public Administration, School of Accountancy, School of Statistics and Mathematics, as well as School of MBA, School of Intellectual Property Rights, School of Further Education, and Wuhan School. There is a full-time teaching and administrative staff of 2,445 members at ZUEL, including 1,360 teachers, among which there are 219 professors, 472 associate professors, and 87 doctoral supervisors. ZUEL has 1 key research base of humanities at the state level, 2 key disciplines at the state level, 4 key research bases of humanities at the provincial level, 19 key disciplines at the ministerial and provincial level, 35 undergraduate programs, 64 master programs, 32 doctoral programs, and 3 post-doctoral programs. The university is also authorized to award MBA, EMBA, JM, MPAcc, MPA, ME (Master of Education) degrees, and enrolls students from overseas as well as from Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao. It also enrolls approximately 20,000 full-time undergraduates, 5,000 postgraduate students, doctoral students, post-doctoral students, and over 5,000 adult students. ZUEL has a group of learned scholars who have prestige in the academic world of management, economics, and law, both at home and abroad. More than 45 professors are sponsored by the State Council of China, and more than 65 professors have been awarded the title of Young Experts of Hubei Province with Prominent Contributions to the Country with expert allowance. In the past 25 years, the faculty has accomplished over 400 items of key research projects at the state and provincial level. Among which, 100 items were the projects of the State Social Science Fund, the State Natural Science Fund, and the key project of the Ministry of Education, 187 of these being the key projects were sponsored by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Justice. The faculty has made over 30,000 research contributions, including more than 1,300 monographs, more than 1,700 textbooks, and more than 21,000 articles, with more than 500 publications in foreign countries.


In the fields of international academic exchange, ZUEL has developed a worldwide cooperative research and academic exchange relationships with universities and research institutions of more than 20 countries and regions in Asia, Europe, America, and Australia.
