UK-based Intec Printing Solutions has launched the new Intec Edge 850 label printer for label printing and packaging applications.

Intec Printing Solutions managing director Ian Melville said the Intec Edge 850 will bring about a huge change in desktop label printing with its cost effective digital solution for low to medium volume users.

"Look to the Intec Edge 850 for your beverage, food and consumer product labelling," Melville said.

The new digital short run Intec Edge 850 label printer prints on self-adhesive label stock, tag stock, approved films and synthetics.

It can print variable data on die cut/roll substrates at lightning speeds of eight metres or 25ft a minute (6ips) while handling stocks up to 216mm wide and 420m long.

According to the company, demonstrations are being conducted at the Intec demonstration suite in Poole, Dorset to celebrate its UK launch.
